BWAF moves into new office!

The organizers of the Black Women's Arts Festival moved into its new office today! At 3721 Midvale Avenue, in the East Falls region of Philadelphia, this is the Midvale office headquarters of the Resources for Human Development's New Beginnings Program. About a dozen other start-up organizations share this office, a casual, neat, and friendly place without walls (to encourage collaboration among organizations), and with all the equipment a start-up needs. BWAF Philly now has an office telephone number to personally respond to inquiries, and a meeting space for conferences with organizers.

Black Women's Arts Festival accepted into the New Beginnings Non-Profit Incubator Program!

Two years after an inital meeting with the program director, BWAF Philly has been accepted into this wonderful program that has fiscally sponsored and nurtured into being over 150 non-profit organizations. Resources for Human development is now providing office space and other resources to the Black Women's Arts Festival, which began as an event, then became a private commercial enterprise, and is now a non-profit organization taking its tiniest baby steps.

We hope to continue to grow and learn how to most effeciently serve the artists and community members who need help in making, growing, and selling their art.
